‘Five Nights at Freddy’s 4’ new release date, new trailer, and it’s not at a pizza parlour

Things might be getting a little be interesting in a certain horror game series that hasn’t really been one for switching things up in the past. Five Nights at Freddy’s 4, which claims to be the final chapter in the series, also appears to be moving location from a pizza joint — to a house instead. Oh, and there’s some pretty exciting news about the release date as well.

In the first trailer which was just recently released, we see a few brief seconds of Gameplay, and it actually looks quite intriguing. Check it out right here:

Personally, I haven’t been a huge fan of the series in the past — I thought the first one was pretty good, but the others didn’t stray much at all from the same formula. The first three really felt like they should have each been a level from one game. However, now that I’ve seen this trailer, I’m getting a little excited for FNAF4. It looks like you’ll be working without any sort of cameras or technology, and depending on how much of the footage is actual Gameplay, you aren’t just standing still either.

The game was set to release this Halloween, October 31st, but it was also just announced that it’ll be pushed forward (wow, how often do you hear that?). Pushing the date was done to coincide with the one year anniversary of the first game, which is coming up in just a couple of weeks on August 8th. That’s right, you’ll be able to play FNAF4 almost two months before the initially anticipated release date.

It’s pretty crazy to think that this whole saga began not even a year ago, and developer Scott Cawthon is already moving forward with the fourth and final chapter, as well as a feature film produced by Roy Lee. There’s no denying the success of this franchise, and we’ll shortly find out where it goes from here.
