The battle between Android and iOS has been going on for a long time and will undoubtedly continue. A new study from Consumer Intelligence Research Partners, shows this year iPhone buyers include a significantly increased number of former Android users, compared to last year. According to CIRP’s study in September 2013, the month when iPhone 5s and 5c were launched 21% of the sales came from ex-Android users, compared to the same month of 2012 when iPhone 5 was released and just 16% of its buyers switched from Google’s OS.
Moreover, Apple also has its loyal fans, that just keep switching from one iPhone to another, as new models are made available, which means they don’t just get new customers, they also manage to keep the old ones. This data is also supported by satisfaction studies, that show us most iPhone and iPad users are happy with their products. It’s true Android sales are still far above Apple’s numbers, but this new CIRP study proves just how strong are Apple’s brand and values.
