We already know the rumors about Apple trying to expand its phone and tablet production, but they’re not the only ones that strive to boost their sales. Samsung is currently increasing its market share by offering a diverse choice of tablets, with more to come next year. Right now, Samsung has three different series for smart pads, the Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Note and Windows-driven ATIV with an average release number of 10 tablets a year, targeting a wide range of consumers.
Apple, the current leader of the tablet market offers far less variety, with their iPad and iPad Mini models, which might be the explanation of why Samsung’s strategy could very well push them at the top in the near future. Basically, Samsung is applying their smartphone strategy to tablets, making sure to provide consumers with several options for different budgets. Apparently, it’s working, since Samsung is gaining ground against their main competitor.
