Can't update my video-card driver on laptop

Hy. Don't know from what reason, i am not able to update my ATI video-card driver. Whenever i want to update it, i run the executable and most of the time i get an error , while sometimes just nothing happens. The only time i was able to install the latest driver was when i got my windows re-installed.
I am using Windows 7 Professional on 64bit.
What can i do, i don't want to reinstall windows every time i want to update my video driver.
Btw i tried the driver from ATI site and from AMD site too, both doing the same problem.

Hello. Try to do a clean installation - uninstall the old driver and then install the latest one.
If that doesn't work, try to install it with ATI Drivers Update utility. And if this doesn't work either, try to scan your pc with an anti-virus.

That's strange, are you sure you are trying to install the correct version for your windows ?
In your case it should be this one.
Anyways, try as Hamzy told, and the problem should be solved.
