Convert DVD to AVI help

Hello again.
I have some TV serials in DVD format on my pc and they are using a lot of space of my hard. Anyone know any some software to reduce their size ?

You can try HandBrake. Size wont be a problem anymore with it.

You can convert them to other formats, maybe save space.
