I need to make a small movie from some short videos , on some specific melodies ... does anyone know any FREE program that can help me do that. I don't want trial or demo or to spend money on it , since i don't have to use it to much.

or you can always use more sophisticated programs such as Adobe Premiere, but then again, it's not freeware
Yes , well you can't expect the same performance from a free software compared with a payed one , especially Adobe witch it's very good
