How to write on NTFS in Mac OS X?

I've bought a new external hard drive but on my Macbook Pro, I can only read the NTFS partitions from the HDD. I considered making it native OS X partitions (Mac OS extended) but that means I can't write anything on my Windows desktop.

    Do I have any solution?

you can write on NTFS...you need the NTFS-3G driver for that..once enabled, you can write on any NTFS partition: http://macntfs-3g.blogspot.com/
