New hints and info about Ubisoft's next Assassin's Creed title have been dripping out little by little (some official, some not so much). Now here's another drop in the bucket: A new status update on the official Assassin's Creed Facebook page has appeared, purportedly "posted" by in-game character Dr. Vidic.
For those who never played either Assassin's Creed game (and warning: spoilers incoming!), Dr. Vidic is a modern-day Knights Templar who runs the "Animus project," which sends protagonist Desmond Miles back in time to relive memories of his ancestors (and in Assassin's Creed 2, that would be main character Ezio). Dr. Vidic escapes at the end of Assassin's Creed 2, and it looks like he's still at large, according to his new Facebook status:
"It is the time of our rising. A new age enters and a great battle looms. Templar destiny is at hand and waiting for you," the status reads. And...that's about it, so there's really not a whole lot to take away from the tease, other than that Dr. Vidic is probably coming back in the next game.
I think we will hear more of it @ E3
