AcroPano Photo Stitcher: Merge your pictures into a panorama

Even though some cameras and even mobile phones offer the ability to take panoramic pictures, the end result is not always desirable and the range is not always enough. If you want to create your very own panorama AcroPano Photo Stitcher should be right up your alley.

Installation & Requirements

The setup for the application is a fairly standard affair. The supported operating systems are Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista/7 and 8.

Interface

The program is divided into three main tabs that define the current process you are going through. First of all, you need to add the images you want to stitch together. Simply click on the “Add Images” button to browse your computer. You can then drag the pictures you have inserted to put them in the correct order. In the bottom of the Start window you will find the three stitching options, namely Horizontal, 360 Degrees and Vertical. The choice should be made depending on the pictures you have inserted so that you do not create a mess. You can also choose to automatically sequencing them, leaving the choice to the application. Lastly, you can right click on the pictures to rotate them as you wish.

The next step is to modify them. When you press next, the application will automatically stitch them together but you might not agree with the result. Simply press on the advanced button and then click on the images. You will then be taken to the editor. You will notice that the application has three points named with numbers. Those are the stitching points and you can move them around freely to customize your result. Press on the apply button and you are ready to see the results. You will also notice a red frame in the Modify window which is used to crop your images if you want to. Lastly, you can choose a frame for them, a title and copyright them with your trademark.

Last but not least is the Preview window. Here you will see the end result of your project and you will also be able to zoom in and adjust the contrast and the brightness of the final picture. You will also be able to save it in a variety of forms, sizes and quality.
