Besides being some of the most powerful handsets available at the moment, the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus have brought various changes compared to earlier iPhone models. The new pressure-sensitive Home button detects and simulates clicks thanks to the new and improved Taptic Engine. Since there are no two users that tap the same way, you might want to change the Home button click speed and intensity on iPhone 7 to suit your needs.
How to change the Home button click speed and intensity on iPhone 7 and 7 Plus
This way, it will be more responsive and accurate whenever you are using it. If you’re happy with the default values there is no need to change the Home button click speed and intensity on iPhone 7 or 7 Plus.
However, if you think the Home button reacts less than ideal to your actions, it’s a good idea to experiment with the available options a bit, and find the right settings for you.
How to change the Home button click speed on iPhone 7
To begin with, you can change the Home button’s click speed. To do this, go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility and select “Home Button”.
In the Click Speed section you have three options to choose from: Default, Slow and Slowest. We suggest you experiment a bit and try all of these options (of course, you probably already tried Default), then decide which one you’re most comfortable with.

To continue, you can change the click intensity of your iPhone 7 or 7 Plus, and depending on your choice, the device will register clicks on a lighter or a heavier press.
Go to Settings -> General -> Home Button.
Here you have three options for the click intensity. 1 is Light, 2 is Medium and 3 is Heavy. Select any of the three options then try pressing the Home button to see if you like it. When you find the one you like best, tap on “Done” to save the changes.
As you can see, the new Home Button option in the General section of the Settings app allows you to change the click intensity, which is quite easy to do.
Perhaps the only problem is the Home button options are not in the same submenu, and you need to enter the Accessibility settings if you want to adjust the click speed. Hopefully at some point Apple will reorganize (and in some cases rename) the options available in the Settings app, and make related toggles available in the same menu.
