If there’s a universal problem for any battery-powered device or gadget, be it a smartphone, tablet or a vacuum cleaner, it’s battery life. Of course, iPhone users make no exception, especially those who are hooked to their phones all day long. If you’re worried about your phone’s battery health, I’m going to show you a simple way to check battery wear level on iOS, using an app called Battery Percentage.
This free app, allows you to check battery wear level on iOS, but it also provides details information on your charger and device information like CPU, GPU, memory, network, storage and so on.
Check battery wear level on iOS
Battery Percentage has a simple and functional layout. The Battery screen shows battery health status, current capacity, voltage and a few more parameters for the battery, but also includes a section with charger details.
If you’re not a tech-savvy individual, the Help section will translate each possible status for the battery health, which can be very useful in this situation. Just excuse the broken English, and value the developer’s efforts to offer a guide.
Battery Percentage also has a dedicated screen to display device information across several categories, including general, CPU, GPU, and memory. Another interesting addition is the Test window, where you can actually test your phone’s hardware equipment to see if it works properly and ensure any difficulties you are experiencing are not software-related.
Typically, Apple is not a fan of apps that dig deep into the iPhone’s hardware, so given the usefulness of Battery Percentage, you might want to grab it while you can, as it won’t be surprising if we see it disappear from the App Store. For now, there is no easier way to check battery wear level on iOS, at least not on devices which are not jailbroken.
