Windows 10 Anniversary Update came with a new set of problems, but also some cool, new features. Â For example, it is now possible to customize Windows 10 Quick Action icons in the Action Center.
You can easily rearrange the Quick Action icons, as well as add new ones and remove existing ones. This makes for a truly useful Action Center since it allows us to keep only the icons we actually need and place them however we want.
How to customize Windows 10 Quick Action icons in Action Center
Open the Settings app and navigate to System -> Notification & actions.
If you want to add or remove icons from the Action Center click on “Add or remove quick actions”.
Here, all you need to do is enable the shortcuts you find useful, and disable the ones you don’t need.
From this pane, you can also rearrange the quick actions as they appear in the Action Center. If you disable all of them and then start enabling quick actions one by one, they will be placed in the Action Center in the order you activate them.
However, that is not the best way to rearrange quick action icons. In the same settings pane, you can simply click (or tap) and hold, then drag any quick action icon to reposition it in the Action Center.
It’s much faster and easier than by toggling quick actions on/off.
As you can see it’s extremely easy to customize Windows 10 Quick Action icons and it makes the Action Center much more useful.
