Instagram’s social interactions revolve around photo-sharing, and it is rapidly taking out its competitors one by one. While the new UI changes are debatable, as long as you can tolerate the recent lack of color in the layout, the app’s functionality remains the same.
One of the things Instagram fails to do right is it does not make it easy to download full resolution profile photos, but neither does Facebook, so we get where this is coming from.
So if you want to download a high-quality photo of a friend’s profile pic on Instagram, all you get is a pixelated image at best. An app called InstaPP aims to change this, as it lets you download Instagram profile pictures in full resolution on Android.
The interesting part, is you don’t even need to have an Instagram account. InstaPP allows you to easily download Instagram profile pictures in full resolution on Android, including those from users with private profiles.
Download Instagram profile pictures in full resolution on Android
The first thing you need to do is install InstaPP by visiting the link below. Alternatively, you can just search the app’s name in the Play Store to get to its page.
With the app installed, launch it and enter an Instagram username in the dedicated field. Hit the Go button and the app will quickly fetch the profile pic.
Once the photo is displayed, simply tap on ‘Download this picture’ to save it on your device at full resolution.
You can find the image in a folder the app automatically creates, called InstaPP. Since the photos downloaded with this app are at full resolution, it means you can view them at their best quality, as well as use them as images for your contacts.
