[Guide] Install GBA4iOS on iOS 10 without jailbreak

Retro Nintendo games might be a thing of the past but there are many people who still love to play them. Nevertheless, Apple certainly doesn’t make this easy, since there is no official support for playing classic Nintendo games on iOS devices. Having a jailbroken device expands the list of possibilities in this situation, but we do have a simple solution that lets you install GBA4iOS on iOS 10 without jailbreak.

GBA4iOS is a Gameboy Advance Emulator that will allow you to play Gameboy Advance games on your iOS device. Emulator apps don’t usually last long in the App Store, since Apple is quick to reject them.

As a result, you won’t find GBA4iOS on iTunes, but there is a simple way to install it on your iOS 10 iPhone, iPad or iPod touch with no need to have a jailbroken device.

How to install GBA4iOS on iOS 10 without jailbreak

To install GBA4iOS on iOS 10 open the link below in Safari (or type it in the address bar) on your device:

Once the website finishes loading navigate to its ‘Apps’ tab. Scroll down through the list until you find GBA4iOS 2.1 then tap on it.

On the following page tap on the ‘Download Page’ option.

Next, scroll down until you locate the GBA4iOS icon. Actually, there will be two versions – one that’s marked as ‘signed’ and another marked as ‘date trick’. Tap on the ‘signed’ version to continue.

On the following page tap on the ‘Install’ button and then tap again on the ‘Install GBA4iOS’ option. You might need to select the ‘Install’ option again on a few pop-up screens.

The install process of GBA4iOS should start. When it’s finished, it’s icon should appear on your home screen.

To continue, you will need to trust a third-party profile. This makes it possible to run GBA4iOS on your device. While not all third-party profiles pose security risks, proceeding and all associated risks are entirely your decision.


Go to Settings -> General -> Device Management. In the ‘Enterprise App’ section a profile called ‘Wuxi Suntech Power Co. Ltd’ should be displayed although it might be different. However, you still need to tap on it to proceed, so go ahead and do that.

Tap on the ‘Trust’ option on the following screen. You have managed to succesfully install GBA4iOS on iOS 10.

From now on, you can download ROMs for retro Nintendo games and play them on your iOS 10 device. There are plenty of ROMs which can be found with a few quick Google searches. Enjoy!
