The ability to run two WhatsApp accounts on iOS can be extremely useful. For example, you might have a business phone number, besides your personal one, and would like to keep your conversations separate in WhatsApp as well.
The good news is, you actually can run two WhatsApp accounts on iOS and your iPhone doesn’t need to be jailbroken for this to work.
How to run two WhatsApp accounts on iOS
Before we proceed, you should know the secondary WhatsApp you need to install is not an iTunes app. It has been tested over and over, as many people are using it and no security issues have been reported, but it is ultimately your decision if you want to take the (albeit small) risk of installing it.
Now that we got this cleared, here’s what you need to do in order to run two WhatsApp accounts on iOS.
If you don’t have the regular WhatsApp installed on your iPhone, you can download it from here (iTunes) and enable it using your main phone number.
To install the second instance of the app, open Safari and visit the following URL: ios.othman.tv
Tap on WhatsApp 2 to continue.
An orange WhatsApp icon will be displayed. Below it is a green button (ignore the Arabic characters). Tap on the green button to download WhatsApp 2.
Tap on Install in the dialog prompt to start downloading the app.
Then, WhatsApp 2 will be installed on your iPhone shortly. The last thing you need to do is go to Settings -> General -> Profile, tap on ‘Trust VNE Software And Technology….‘ and then on ‘Trust‘.
Now you can open the second instance of WhatsApp and activate it using a different phone number then you entered in the original app.
