When you’re all set to complete a task, it’s very easy to get distracted, and sometimes it can come in handy to create reminders on your phone. One of the many instances, when such notifications can be life savers, is when you’re preparing to go for a drive, or returning from one. In this post, I will show you how you can easily setup iPhone reminders for when you get in and out of the car.
The notifications will be perfectly timed as long as the iPhone or iPad on which you’re creating  reminders are connected to your car through CarPlay or Bluetooth. This will allow the Reminders app to monitor the connection between your car and your iPhone, and send you a reminder when it connects (meaning you’re getting in the car) or disconnects (for when you’re getting out).
How to setup iPhone reminders for when you get in and out of the car
Open the Reminders app on your iPhone (this also works on iPad and Mac devices), and create a task or reminder you’d like to be notified of when you get in or out of the car.
Now, select the item and tap the ‘i‘ icon.
Tap on the ‘Remind me at a location‘ option.
Then, select ‘Getting in the car‘ or ‘Getting out of the car‘.
Now you can go about your day with peace of mind, knowing you won’t forget the task you need to do when getting in or out of te car.
Tip: As you can see, it’s super easy to setup iPhone reminders for when you get in and out of the car, but you can do the same on your Mac which needs to be synced with your iPhone or iPad via iCloud, for this to work. Simply open the Reminders app on your Mac, and create a task or select an existing one, then click on the ‘i’ button, select ‘At a location’ and then click on ‘Getting in car’ or ‘Getting out of car’.
