An image that’s hidden in the Photos library will no longer be visible in the main photos view, including Collections, Years and Moments. Nevertheless, you will still be able to view the hidden photos in searches and Albums.

Launch the Photos app and find the pics you want to hide. Tap on Select and check all of the images you wish to hide. Tap on the Share button to continue.
Select the “Hide” option from the bottom row of the Share sheet, then tap on the “Hide Photo” option.
From now on, you can view your hidden images in an album called Hidden.
How to unhide images in iOS 10 Photos app
Unhiding pics in the Photos app on your iPhone is just as straightforward as hiding them.
Open the Photos app and go to the Albums tab. Tap on the Hidden album then tap on the “Select” option.
Now you can choose the photos you want to unhide and once you completed your selection, tap on the Share button.
In the bottom row of the Share sheet, select the “Unhide” option.
Those images will be restored to your Photos library. That’s it!
