HWiNFO32 is a utility that will give you detailed information about each piece of hardware installed in your computer with the extra abilities to generate reports, perform benchmarks and more.
Installation & Requirements
The setup process is very simple, with only a few shortcut options available. The application supports all versions of Windows from 95 and later as well as Windows Servers from 2003. The program is also offered in a portable version that requires no installation.
When you start the program you will be greeted by the Welcome screen. Clicking on Run will start the application with the default settings. However, you can also alter it by checking the boxes or going in the Settings tab and changing the options there.
Two windows will open by default, the System Summary and the main window. In the first one you will be able to view information about your hardware, ranging from the motherboard to the CPU and GPU. You will also be able to see the installed Operating System and the current build you are running. You cannot change anything in this tab as its sole purpose is to display summarized information.
In the main window there are a lot more things you can do. First of all, you can view all of the installed hardware in your computer in the left side list. Clicking on any of it will display information in the right hand panel, a lot more detailed than what you would find in the System Summary window. You can literally find everything you are looking for in your hardware with a few simple clicks, even though less experienced users will probably have no use for most of it.
The menu on the top and the toolbar also provide a few more tools that you can use. All of the tools are extremely easy to use and if you find yourself in need of help you can always visit the application’s active forum and find your answers there or ask a new question.
The extra tools are the reports, the benchmarks and the sensor status monitoring utility. To generate a report you simply need to choose the output file and the things you want to include in the report by simply checking their boxes. Benchmarking is done in the usual way while also providing some more advanced options like single or multi-threading. Lastly, the sensor status will give you information like detailed CPU usage, the current temperature of your CPU and GPU and more.
-Detailed system information about everything
-A lot of extra utilities
-Many options to customize your experience
-None that would be worth mentioning
Not only is HWiNFO32 one of the most advanced hardware monitoring utilities out there but it also comes for free. Everyone who is looking for such a utility should definitely give this application a try.
