This is how to instantly free up almost 3 GB of storage space on your iPhone

With today’s richness of media content, iPhone owners can often run out of storage space. Luckily, there’s a simple trick that lets you free up almost 3 GB of storage space on iPhone. And there’s no need to delete your favorite photos or videos.

Recent iPhone and iPad models come with the iWork / iLife app suite pre-installed. This includes a plethora of apps such as iMovie, Pages, Numbers, Keynote, and Garageband. These apps are certainly useful but not for everyone. So if you’re only using a few or none of them, deleting these apps can save you almost 3 GB of storage space.

There’s no special trick other than realizing how much space iWork apps actually take on your iPhone, which wouldn’t be a problem if you were actually using them. Or if you had more storage space of course.

The first thing you need to do, is you find out how much storage space iWork apps are taking on your device. You can find out these details by navigating to Settings -> About -> Usage -> Manage Storage.

As you can see, deleting apps like Pages, iMovie, Keynote, Garageband and Numbers can free up a significant amount of storage space. Simply kee the ones you find useful and delete the ones you don’t need.

Or at least remember this trick the next time you want to download something or take a photo and you get the ‘out of storage’ warning. Deleting a few iWork apps is a quick way to get back some storage space without having to go through a camera roll cleanup or other tasks that can take a while.

Be aware that iWork apps are preinstalled only on devices that have 32 GB, 64 GB, 128 GB or 256 GB storage. As a result, if you own a 8 GB or 16 GB iPhone model you will have to find another way to free up some storage space.
