HTC 10 is an attractive handset but since nothing is perfect, it comes with its own small annoyances. For example, the capacitive navigation buttons are not perfectly centered which makes it a bit difficult to tap them when they’re not lit. A solution would be to keep HTC 10’s capacitive buttons backlit at all times.
The flagship doesn’t have on-screen software buttons like the older HTC One M8 and M9, although the above-mentioned solution works quite well. Of course, it will cost you a bit of battery power, but nothing too dramatic.

Open the Settings app and select the ‘Display, gestures & buttons‘ option to open the related menu.
There, locate the ‘Navigation button backlight‘ setting. If you never changed it, it will be set to ‘Auto off when inactive‘.
Tap on it and set it to ‘Always on when screen is on‘. This will ensure the capacitive buttons remain lit while the screen is on.
You’re done! It’s definitely not something difficult to set up, although I’m sure not everyone knows every nook and cranny of the Settings app, so this particular option is easy to stay unnoticed.
