Outlook Preview app for Android receives major update, improves People and Calendar

The Outlook app for Android phones and tablets received several major improvements in the update to version 1.1  that rolled out yesterday.

Outlook’s People feature now has the ability to sync your address books as well as display the contacts saved on your device. Furthermore, contact details now have an optimized view and a one-tap option to call/email contacts has been added.

The Calendar feature got a new 3-day view you can see by flipping your phone or tablet to landscape – extremely useful for those with very busy calendars! Obviously, the usual bug fixes and improvements are also contained in this update, which you can grab right now from the Play Store.

Outlook for Android is still in preview so you can be sure Microsoft plans to bring numerous fixes and new features to the app in the future and the same can be said for the rest of the Office apps.
