By now, most iPhone and iPad users should have received the iOS 10 update and one of the most striking changes is the lock screen. Unlike iOS 9 that allowed you to simply rest your finger on the Home button to wake your device, in iOS 10 you need to first click on it.
So, with the new update unlocking your device requires you to take an additional action. It wouldn’t even be that big of a deal but we’ve all gotten used to the old (and faster) way so it’s always great when you have a choice.
How to unlock your iOS 10 device with one click
Luckily, there is a simple method to unlock your iOS 10 device with one click just like in iOS 9.
Go to Settings -> General -> Accessibility.
Find the Home Button menu option and click on it.
Now all you have left to do is enable the “Rest Finger to Open” option.
From then on you can unlock your iOS 10 device with a single click, not two like it is set by default.
