Apple Pay is a simple solution to pay for your purchases in both online and brick and mortar stores. To use Apple Pay you need to add your debit or credit card in the Wallet app. For whatever reasons, at some point you might need to remove credit card from your Apple Pay account. This is just as easy, and we’ll show you how to do it below.
To remove credit card from your Apple Pay account you can either do it from your iOS device or from iTunes. The second method is useful for when you don’t have your iPhone or iPad with you.
How to remove credit card from your Apple Pay account
If you somehow lost your credit card, cancelled it or you simply don’t want to use Apple Pay anymore, here’s how you can remove credit card from your Apple Pay account.
On the device that has Apple Pay enabled with the credit or debit card you wish to remove, navigate to Settings -> Wallet & Apple Pay.
Find the credit or debit card you want to remove and tap on it. Tap on the ‘Remove Card’ option and you’re done!
You can also perform the same action from the iCloud website, and for this method, you don’t need your iOS device.
Open iCloud.com in any web browser and log in using your Apple ID. Click on the Settings app icon and on the following page under ‘My Devices’, locate and click on the device you wish to remove the credit card from.
At this point, you should be seeing the list of credit and debit cards linked to that device. Simply select the one you want to remove and click on the same-named option.
Once you remove a certain credit or debit card from Apple Pay, you can no longer use this service to pay with it, but you can always authorize a new card if you still want to use Apple Pay.
