The ability to remove stock apps in iOS 10 has been eagerly awaited by most users. No one really uses all of them, right? There will always be some useless stock apps populating your Home Screen and with iOS 10 you can finally get rid of them.
Even if you’ve previously hid the useless ones in a folder, with iOS 10 you don’t need to. If you want to remove stock apps in iOS 10, you should know this is a quick and simple process so here’s how to do it.
How to remove stock apps in iOS 10
If you want to get rid of a stock app, iOS 10 lets you uninstall it like any other app. Just long-press its home screen icon until it jiggles.
Then, simply tap on the small X button displayed above the icon.
You’ll be asked to confirm your choice, so go ahead and tap on the Remove option.
Do the same for all the stock apps you want to uninstall.
Of course, you should keep in mind some stock apps cannot be removed and you can see both lists of removable and non-removable ones here.
Once you got rid of all those useless apps, go back to the Home Screen and enjoy its new uncluttered layout.
If at some point you change your mind and want to reinstall a stock app, you can install it like any other app from it’s App Store page.
