Ad-aware Definitions File: Latest Detection Database

This download contains the latest definitions file for Ad-Aware products detection database. With this file you can manually update your Ad-Aware antivirus detection database in case you cannot do it using Web Update.

By making sure your Ad-Aware product contains the latest definitions file, you will benefit from enhanced protection against spyware - preventing annoying pop-ups, identity theft and decreased computer performance -, viruses, Trojans and other types of malware.

There are certain cases when Web Update can’t be used, such as if your proxy settings are not properly configured. The latest Definitions file can be used to perform a manual update.

Instructions:

- Close Ad-Aware.
- Download the ZIP file containing the latest definitions file.
- Unzip the contents of the file to the installation directory of Ad-Aware (usually in C:/Program Files/Lavasoft/Ad-Aware).
- Open Ad-Aware. You can see that the program was updated by checking the Update Status on the program’s main screen.
