Alternate File Move: A simple program that lets you sync two folders with ease

Alternate File Mode is an easy to use application that lets you compare and synchronize two different folders, so you can ensure they contain the same data.

The program’s UI is divided into two areas, the Master Folder and the Slave Folder that you can select by browsing through your computer. To begin with, you need to input the exact path of the source and target folders.

The Analyze option lets you show their contents in different panels, as a convenient way to compare them. Before starting the Synchronization task, users need to define some related parameters, specifically if the application should just add the missing files to the slave folders or replace existing ones with different dates or sizes.

Also, you can set Alternate File Move to delete items from the slave folder which do not exist in the master folder. Among other useful options, you can target only certain file names or extensions, in which case all other documents will not be processed. Once you’re done configuring the Synchronization task you can just click on the Execute button and the operation will be performed in just a few seconds.
