Alternate Splitter: Split and merge files with this straightforward tool

Alternate Splitter is a lightweight tool that lets you split a file, or merge multiple files into a larger one.

You can split a file based on its size and you can add a list of files you want to split. However, Alternate Splitter can only split the first file in the list but it does have an option to “Ask for next file” so you can set the program to process the following file from the list.

The application lets you select the size of the fragments and you can sort the source files as well as delete unneeded items.

What’s more, Alternate Splitter also lets you merge files added to the list and you can find the output file in the destination directory.

The files will be saved to the output folder of your choice with a .file extension unless you select the format yourself. You can also merge files with Alternate Splitter but you need to ensure they all have the same format.
