AlternateStreamView: Useful tool for scanning NTFS drives and show all alternate streams stored on a PC.

AlternateStreamView is a user-friendly software that was developed in order to scan NTFS drives and show all the alternate streams that are stored on the PC, while also packing a basic set of options that all types of users can handle.

Since installation is not required, users can drop the program files anywhere they want on a hard disk and just click the executable to run, and will not leave any traces in the Windows registry.

The program comes with a simplistic and well-organized interface that works without any problems.

The program will prompt users to select the drive or directory to scan, optionally will include subfolders and set their depth level, and establish file name wildcards, and depending on the size of the selected location, it might take a while to scan.

The results will display a stream of file names, full stream name, stream size, allocated size, and extension for each identified item, while also giving them the possibility to export selected entries or the entire list to TXT, CSV, HTM, HTML, or XML for closer inspection.
