Bitcoin Core: An electronic wallet that lets you manage bitcoin transactions and encrypt your digital currency

Bitcoin Core is an electronic wallet app that lets you send and receive bitcoins, while storing a list of all your transaction with information on the current Bitcoin balance. When it comes to storing digital currency, it’s always safer to keep it offline, and Bitcoin Core offers exactly that.

Using this program it’s also easy to create backups of your digital currency and store them in alternate locations. The plain GUI displays your wallet’s current balance once the history of the transaction blocks is synced.

The options offered by Bitcoin Core are easy to understand, even for those who never used an electronic wallet before. There are different sections where you can view and manage your incoming and outgoing payment activities, and another one displaying a list of all transactions, including mined currency.

Bitcoin Core lets you back it up to a secure location, as well as sign messages using your addresses to prove ownership or to verify them whenever needed. In the settings panel you can set the application to automatically run at system boot, set the database’s cache size or activate a transaction fee per KB for shorter processing times.
