Bitly for Chrome is a very handy browser extension that was created in order to help users share links with their friends without any effort, using the Bitly online service when navigating the internet with Google Chrome.

The extension will allow users to customize the shortened URLs if they were not created by someone else, and users will have to create an account in order to link it to Bitly and integrate it into the web browser.

In order to use it, users will have to click the upper-right corner of Chrome, and the URL will receive a new, and shorter name, while also having the possibility to customize it with different combinations, edit the display name, copy the new link to the clipboard, among others.
