DesktopPlant: Add a virtual plant on your desktop and take care of it, making sure it gets enough water, light and fertilizer to grow

DesktopPlant is a small application that enables you to grow a virtual plant on your desktop. It offers a simple way of exercising how to properly take care of a plant, or teaching children about this.

DesktopPlant provides various types of plants you can grow on your desktop, such as Philodendron, Azalea, Sunflower, Maple Tree and Cactus, with some of them having several colors available.

What’s more, the app lets you take care of multiple plants at the same time, if you want to. Simple double-click on a plant and a separate window will open where you can change the levels of water, temperature, fertilizer and light.

There is also the automatic care system that can be found in the “Options” section, which is recommended if the user is away from the computer for a long period, and they can also be set to evolve in real time.

Since each plant has different needs, you can access this information in the app’s Info section. From the Options area, it is possible to enable the automatic care system, as well as set the plants to develop in real time.
