Dictaphone: A simple tool that lets you easily record audio

Dictaphone is a friendly piece of software that makes it easy to record any kind of audio as long as it’s supported by your sound card. At its core, the application was designed to record dictations although it can be easily used to record anything else.

The tool bundles a Recordings Manager where you can edit and manage recorded audio files. As long as your sound card supports it, Dictaphone can be used to record it.

Furthermore, you can insert, continue and overwrite an existent recording from the position f your choice, give your dictation a title and attach notes, as well as set the tool to automatically store the recording date and time for your dictation.

Lastly, export options let you record to VMA, MP3 or WAV audio files, but also any other command line encoder.
