Disk Redactor is a free tool that lets you safely erase already deleted information from hard drives and flash drives. The program will ensure deleted data cannot be recovered by anyone.

When you use the default Delete function, files are not actually deleted. The space they occupy is now marked as free and waiting to be filled with new data. However, until other information is stored on that free disk space, the previously deleted data can be recovered.

Disk Redactor makes sure recovery of deleted files and folders is not possible by writing a large file with zeros on the free space were the deleted files were previously stored.
