Emby Theater is a client application for the Emby Server that lets you access your music and video collection on any computer connected to your local area network.

In other words, the application lets you access and play content from your media library from any remote workstation in your network.

Emby Theater makes it easy to set up the server-client connection. You will need to provide the tool with the server’s port number and IP, and also an API Key will be generated in Emby Server.

The program will list all the folders in your library and you can sort the contained files using various criteria such as their name, rating, release date, IMDb rating and creation date.

Any multimedia file from your collection can be played without having to share or download it. The content is streamed over the network by Emby Server, while Emby Theater is the client that connects to the server’s library.
