Gammu is a command line tool as well as a library that supports several different cellphone vendors. The tool supports most models and most of the functions especially basic ones should work great. The tool will work with messages like MMS, SMS, and EMS, contacts, to do lists, calendar, integrated radio, file system, and camera, to name a few. It even supports daemon mode, allowing you to send and receive SMS.

The tool will help you control your cellphone with a variety of features.
