Hexinator is a feature-rich hex editing software designed to allow advanced users to generate XML grammar files that contain data about previous analysis session, your personal knowledge about the files, as well as assumptions and comments. It is based on a powerful parsing engine that allows it to perform a comprehensive analysis of binary files.

Despite its complex functionality, Hexinator offers a neatly organized interface where you can view the hex code for the loaded binary file.

The program includes a search tool that lets you easily find where a specific text, hex code section, mask, number or string is located. There’s also the option to jump to a certain position from the app’s UI, as well as exporting data as an XML or plain text file.

You can select the encoding from the supported list via a drop-down menu, so that the application can analyze binary files of various types. A comprehensive built-in collection of grammar files is included, and after you load a supported file the application will suggest the related grammar file for you to download.

You can also automate various tasks such as changing the structure of grammars and editing a specific file or a selection of bites using the built-in Python and Lua script editor.
