IPython: Useful program that provides a comprehensive environment for testing and exploring a number of functions.

The purpose of IPython is to help programmers and developers with a comprehensive environment, in order to test or explore a number of functions, but users need to keep in mind that it comes with some limitations when it comes to user-software interaction.

The program comes with three components, which include an interactive shell for Python, a decoupled two-process communication model, and architecture for interactive parallel computing, and it offers tab completion, system shell access, object introspection, a specific command system that implements additional functions, among others.

Users will be able to summon the shell from within another program, which will provide them with a number of possibilities for debugging.

Two processes start every time a user starts the console (e.g. a kernel and client based on Qt that will be able to send/receive commands to the kernel, while the decoupled two-process model lets users connect a number of clients to the same kernel, even if the clients and kernels are situated on another system.
