A lightweight and open-source NoSQL database designed for small projects

LiteDB is a practical and open-source NoSQL database that is represented by a single DLL file and can be used for small projects.

The application is a serverless database, which means it doesn’t rely on a client-server architecture and you don’t need to install other applications before using it.

Once you copy the LiteDB.dll file in the Bin folder of your project, you can add it as a reference. Nevertheless, you can also deploy it via NuGet.

Documents are stored in collections, in the BSON data format. You can use an additional tool, called LiteDB Shell to create and manage database files with ease.
