NirCmd: A small command-line utility that allows you to run useful tasks in a fast and simple manner, without displaying any user interface

NirCmd is a lightweight command-line tool that allows you to perform numerous system tasks in a Command Prompt dialog window.

Since this is a command-line tool, it uses very few system resources and it also doesn't require installation which means you can directly run the executable to launch the app.

A file bundled in the package includes the complete list of commands you can run with the utility, including use a text-to-speech tool for the Clipboard content, turn off the monitor, open/close the disk tray, place the computer in standby mode, and increase the system volume by 2000 units.

Among other commands you'll find in NirCmd, is the ability to close all Internet Explorer instances, turn off the computer, restart MySQL, change the display mode, enable/disable the screensaver, as well as hide the desktop window or Start button in the system tray.
