Noralabs Norascan is a small, reliable tool that can scan your computer to detect a wide range of threats such as malware, viruses, spyware and many others. Even the best antivirus applications can sometimes fail to prevent malware infiltrate your system and in that case, detection is impossible.

For this reason, a tool such as Noralabs Norascan can come in to fill the security gap and discover if there are any active threats present on your system. You can use one of the two scanning modes, specifically Quick or Full.
The Quick scan mode completes faster as it scans some key locations of the system, while the Full scan mode will scan every item on your computer. When the scan task is finished you can see information regarding suspicious items that have been detected, if any.

The application stores a log about the scan process as well as any errors that might have occurred, which you can export to a file. Users can set Noralabs Norascan to check all file extensions and verify the suspicious items it detected after scanning.

There’s an auto-update function which ensures the application is kept up to date with the latest software versions and malware signatures. However, you should know the program can only send suspicious items it detects to quarantine and it can’t actually remove them from your system.
