Photon is a straightforward screenshot tool that also provides the option to record desktop videos and bundles a set of simple drawing options. Also, you can directly upload photos to a number of cloud services and social networks from within the app.

The program runs in the system tray, and you can quickly capture the screen by clicking on its icon. As soon as you do that, a bounding box will appear, which you can resize to capture a specific portion of the screen.

You can use Photon to record desktop videos as well, and save them as a number of popular formats. To capture a certain windows, you can use the Alt + PrtScn keyboard shortcut, and to save a basic screenshot the PrtScn key needs to be used.

The built-in drawing tools allow you to highlight items in the captured image or insert text. The photos can be saved on your hard drive but also uploaded to the app’s server where you can get a sharing link, or simply send it to Twitter, Facebook, VK or Pinterest.
