Portable Rename Master is a nice utility tool that enables users to easily rename files in Batch Mode. You don't need to install it and, it can be stored on a USB flash drive and transferred on any computer and run from there, while Windows registry keys will remain intact.

It sports a simple and neat interface and it lets you use an Explorer-based layout that lets locate and select files that you need to be processed. In the list, you can check out the new name, size, date of creation, modification, etc.

It also allows you to replace numbers, names, phrases, split and move strings, even add characters to the beginning, ending, or any other specific position, etc. Other options it allows is changing the case, capitalize words and sentences, enables the tool to preserve extensions, detect and capitalize Roman numerals, etc.

Also has features that allow you to open and save scripts, clear renaming options, toggle thumbnails, refresh the file list, exclude hidden files from the list, etc.
