Secure File Deleter is a functional application that enables you to ensure sensitive data remains inaccessible for anyone else by permanently removing any files you no longer need. The default delete options provided by Windows remove files in such a manner that using the proper tools there's a change they can still be recovered.

Secure File Deleter aims to solve this problem by allowing you to permanently delete any file beyond any possible means of recovery. You can control the removal process by customizing several parameters available in the advanced settings menu. These include setting the number of overwrites, emptying the file content, and selecting the algorithm that should be used.

It's possible to delete individual files but you can also load entire folders in which case sub-folders will also be included automatically. The included features have been designed to make the removal process as secure as possible as to prevent unauthorized third-parties from recovering the information.

As a result, you can choose between 12 cryptographic algorithms, as well as overwrite the removed data between up to 50 times. What's more, the deleted files can be made to appear empty, but you can also set Secure File Deleter to rename the removed files using randomly chosen names (to make it impossible to guess their contents), as well as delete the times of creation, last access, and last modification.
