SoundVolumeView: A small utility that can retrieve general information about sound devices and tools, and lower their volume levels

SoundVolumeView is a friendly and portable application that can retrieve and display details regarding sound devices and tools, allowing you to tweak their volume. Since the program is portable, you can directly run the executable file from your local hard drive of a USB flash drive.

In the main window, you can view all the tools and devices that are currently plying sounds on your computer, along with detailed information for each of them. The details include the item’s type, name, device name and if it is currently muted or not.

Also, it can retrieve data about each audio item, specifically channels, volume level, decibel level and a few more parameters. You can mute/unmute any of the listed items, as well as refresh the information shown in the main window.

On top of that, SoundVolumeView lets you save the current sound scheme to a file and enable automatic refreshing mode. The program allows you to control the volume using hotkeys, for each item listed in the main window, and export the selected entries as a HTML, XML, CSV or TXT file.
