SpeedCommander is a powerful file manager that comes with tons of exclusive features. It is an extremely comfortable file manager built on a two window technology and it offers a great number of features. All basic options such as sort, copy, move, delete can be performed quickly and easily using keyboard or a mouse.

Files and folders in SpeedCommander are displayed in the proven two window technology, thus making source and target of operations to be always visible. This allows users to achieve higher productivity in comparison to Windows Explorer.

SC offers many different options for moving and copying files and beside the usual file deletion, there is a secure deletion option that is in compliance with governmental deletion standards.

There is also an integrated Quick View application that allows you to view contents of many different file formats including pictures, video or music files. Additional apps such as FileSync and FileSearch are available as well. FileSync allows you to synchronize files and folders between drives and devices, while FileSearch allows for quick and effective search of files and folders on all data mediums including RAID hard disk drives, SSD drives, USB flash drives, CD/DVD drives and more.

With Extensive Archive Support SC allows users to handle compressed files with ease, because in SC they are treated as regular folders. There is a direct support for many different archive formats, and they can also be compressed and decompressed directly in SpeedCommander without need for additional software.

Additional features of SpeedCommander include an add-in interface for additional plugins, the use of automated Macros, enhanced FTP functions and native 64 bit support.

With Macros support, many simple tasks can be automated. Different objects of the file manager can be used by Macros as well as all script capable components. All Macros are easily edited with the built-in in Macro editor and they can be checked for possible errors with an external script debugger such as Visual Studio.

Support for enhanced FTP functions allows you to use different FTP types such as FTP via SSH (SFTP or SecureFTP) and SSL encrypted FTP. All you have to do is choose the protocol, everything else is automatically setup by SpeedCommander and the setup is completely transparent. Proxy support is available as well and there is support for Socks 4/4a/5 and HTTP connections. Directory listings and file transfers can be compressed with MODE Z and the bandwidth limiting option allows you to keep your line in responsive mode if necessary.
