An MFC splash screen component

Splasher is designed to be an improved splash screen component for MFC – Microsoft Foundation Class library.

It is a great component which provides a lot of advantages over the default splash screen component built-in into VC++.

In order to incorporate Splasher screen component into your programming environment all you have to do is enter approximately 10 lines of code into your application’s InitInstance function.

Like mentioned earlier, the Splasher has a number of improved features that radically improve the programming components.

Splasher can optionally use an external DIB file instead of a bitmap resource, which allows developers to easily customize the splash screen at runtime without the need to change the bitmap resource located in their .exe files.

The palette used by Splasher is located and read from the DIB file, so it provides support for higher number of colors then the standard 16 that are available within bitmap resources.

This updated splash screen component is multi-threaded, meaning that it will remain completely responsive and it will redraw itself without errors while the application is being loaded up.

With Splasher splash screen component you have full control of your splash screen. It has been coded to allow you to bring down the splash screen only when you want it to, and not when the user click on it or timer expires. This will allow you to close the splash screen exactly at the right time. You will be able to set your splash screen to disappear at the specific moment, for example once your application is ready for input and the splash screen is no longer required.

Bitmap that is going to be used can be transparent if you are running Windows 2000 or later versions.
