Tab Writer is a handy application that lets you easily write musical scores for the guitar and bass guitar using a text editor. The application enables you to write tablature for four, five, six, seven, and twelve string instruments. It also gives you the ability to save and print your tablature.

There’s an online help file for Tab Writer to help you get started quickly. In the editor you can add tab models as well as insert notes and chords and switching between instruments can be done from the Setup menu. For any selected instrument you can add multiple tabs, dividers and even insert blank spaces. Basic text editing options include select, copy, paste and save as text file. You can also enable Tab Writer to copy every new tab to the clipboard, automatically. Any score written in Tab Writer can be quickly saved or printed directly from the application.
