TextPipe Standard is an incredibly useful tool for programmers, as it allows them to search and replace program code. With this program you can use the search and replace function to quickly update text.

It fully supports sounds-like matching, Perl pattern matching, edit-distance matching and lists for search/replace. Moreover, using TextPipe Standard you can convert files from foreign computer operating systems between mainframe fixed-length formats and DOS/Macintosh/Unix line-feed formats.

You can use the filters to split and join files, remove blanks from the start and end of lines, add and remove lines or columns, remove blank and duplicate lines, remove HTML tabs, add line numbers, convert to and from ASCII to ABCDIC, OEM and ANSI, Unicode and ANSI and much more!

You can restrict the filters to work in column or line ranges, tab-delimited or CSV fields, lines matching or not matching a specific pattern, and search replacements.

You can automate TextPipe using the command-line or by creating a script through a COM interface. The program can successfully handle even files over 2 GB in size.
