Unbound is a useful collection of command line tools that work as a validating, caching and recursive DNS resolver.

You can also use the program dor DNSSEC validation and it's based on algorithms taken from a Java prototype created by Verisign, Kirei, and Nominet.

Secure DNS validation and stub-resolvers that are linked to a program but don't run as a server can be performed since Unbound is a collection of modular components.

The tool's installer can be accessed using the Command Line, allowing you to customize various options. Also, you can remotely configure the application using the unbound-control file. This is needed if you want to flush the DNS on a remote machine.
