VT Hash Check: Efficient application for verifying files in case they are positive with malware.

VT Hash Check is a simple Windows app that will help individuals to compare the checksum of any file to the VirusTotal.com database, so they can find if the item is marked positive for viruses.

The installation process is quick and easy without requiring any special attention, and if an API key is provided, it will be defined in the settings window to access the VirusTotal database, identify the item's checksum, and will rapidly run a virus scan, which will then display the results.

The application will also let the users modify the default search engine, in order to give it a name, specify a comment signature for VirusTotal, and even save it to a user-defined location in plain text, (e.g. CSV, Original JSON, or unpacked JSON format).

Overall, VT Hash Check gives users the opportunity to verify any file for malware, by checking the VirusTotal database, which is based on the item's MD5 or SHA1 signature.
